WELCOME to the official website of MADABOUTUS -- a Digital Photography Competition held at least once a year for the promotion of Marine Ecological Awareness through Digital Underwater Shootouts in the Philippines!

Objectives of the Competition:

• To conserve, preserve, and protect the Philippine marine ecosystem.
• To promote the Philippines as an underwater photography destination.
• To help promote as well as stimulate and improve standards of underwater photography.
• To educate the dive guides in handling underwater photographers' needs.
• To make dive resort standards meet individualized service needs of underwater photographers.

The 2nd MADaboutUS had 57 photographers participating with more than 300 entries submitted. The one week shootout was from the 10th till the 18th of February 2007 with the awarding ceremony held on the 24th of February 2007 at the Ayala Museum.

Winning pictures were exhibited at the Filipinas Heritage Library from April 1 to May 19, 2007 in two batches. Pictures for 3rd place winners and winners in the Sponsors Division were exhibited from April 1 to 28, 2007. Pictures of 1st and 2nd placers, Best-of-Show and Special Mention winners were exhibited from May 2-19, 2007.
